I am a creative Learning and Development leader with expertise in design, delivering innovation in learning solutions and frameworks that have lifted the capabilities of employees, improved business results and employee engagement.A thought leader in learning, technology and innovation, I successfully implemented an ‘iPad in the classroom’ strategy in the corporate sector reducing costs in excess of $1M. I also implemented a digital shop front for accessing iBooks on multiple devices and Suncorp’s first learning app. My leadership has resulted in my teams winning an AITD “Learning Innovation” award, and finalists in “Best use of social/collaborative learning” and “Best use of technology in learning”.My strategic thinking ability led to the creation of a suite of leadership courses called the “Made Better Series”, designed to lift capabilities in emotional intelligence (based on neuroscience). Using a modular and blended approach, development time was reduced to three weeks per course. Face to face contact time with facilitators reduced to 180 minutes per course with capability uplift occurring on the job. The Made Better Series is Suncorp’s most successful (non mandatory) suite with over 3000 enrolments.I have successfully guided and empowered geographically dispersed and cross-functional teams to reach their potential and through agile project methodologies, deliver a program of work that drives their own success and contribution to business strategy and objectives. My background includes the Travel, Education, Not for Profit and Finance sectors, giving me experience in complex structured environments and working with diverse employees and senior leadership.I am actively seeking a new challenging opportunity where my thought leadership, strategic thinking, and learning and development experience can be utilised to build a best practice learning department, while delivering on business and organisational strategy and objectives.
