Programme Lead, Functional Cost Framework Project
Rio Tinto is an Anglo-Australian multinational and the world's second largest metals and mining corporation involved with the production of several commodities such as aluminium, iron ore, copper, uranium, and diamonds.I undertook detailed analysis of existing cost definitions and process hierarchies and provided recommendations for executive team approval who set the task of ensuring that Rio Tinto has a world-class, fit for purpose and easily understood functional cost reporting framework which would drive the right behaviours within the business and enhance shareholder value.I provided regular project status updates to the CFO and lead finance team members to ensure required information was provided in a timely and correct manner to ensure project success. Role had a strong focus on project management of external consultants, gathering requirements, implementing best practice standards, conducting internal reviews and workshop facilitation.
