Led the manufacturing, engineering, and purchasing departments of the contract and commercial steel furniture operation. This included both the high volume repetitive funiture and custom design sollutions. Developed a custom powder coating service providing sollutions to regional OEM's requiring powder coating. The powder coating service provided an additional revenue stream and increased the utilization of an under-utilized asset.

Managed the design and development of a new facility in Shawano, Wisconsin for continuous flow manufacturing of custom and contract Fire Apparatus and Emergency Vehicles. Developed an engaged workforce trained in "One Piece Part Flow" and Constraint Analysis. Responsible for Environmental Reporting and Waste Minimization Plans. Provided assistance to American La France Corporate Office to design a 480,000 square foot manufactuing operation located in South Carolina to consolidate multiple regional operations into one facility.

Joined KI in 1981 as a Welding Supervisor and was responsible for the Welding Department. Promoted into the Operations Engineering position in 1984 responsible for the development of workcells, robotic welding and continuous improvenment throughout the facility. Assumed the role of Environmental Engineer in 1988 for the Green Bay facility and provided assistance with the development of a Corporate-wide Environmental Policy and operating manual. Expanded my role to include Safety Engineering in 1989 to analyze the manufacturing operation to reduce lost time accidents and create a culture of accident prevention and ergonomic process development.
