Mark Hu is a Partner at Pinsent Masons. Mark is dual qualified in China and in England and Wales. He was admitted as a Member of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors in 2014, and is also a member of CIArb and a member of the Expert Committee of China International Engineering Consultants Association. Mark is one of China International Contractors Association (CHINCA)'s inaugural panel of 24 mediators for its mediation centre.Mark is an energy and infrastructure lawyer and he specializes in the China outbound energy and infrastructure investment, transactional services and disputes resolution, and now leads the Risk and Advisory Team of Pinsent Masons in mainland China. He is listed as the "Next Generation Partner" in the categories of both Energy/Project and Construction/Real Estate by Legal 500 in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. He leads the Pinsent Masons team win the IFLR 2019 Project Finance Deal of the Year in Middle East and two Deals of the Year awarded by China Business Law Journal in 2020. In 2021, he again leads the PM team win two Deals of the Year awarded by CBLJ for the mega Saudi Arab Red Sea Resort project and for the modernization of Mexico City Subway Line 1 PPP project.
