I led the strategy for new and enhanced eCommerce functionality for Sprint's digital domains. My cross-functional team created a mobile-optimized shopping experience. In my spare time, I was involved in numerous other enterprise-level eCommerce projects, plus smaller efforts to improve the sprint.com experience.

In this position, I was responsible for Sprint's online content strategy for 55 million customers on one of the top 100 websites in the U.S., plus media outlets like Facebook, Engadget and CNET.I like making the complicated sound simple, and eliminating paragraphs of explanation with more elegant design. Most of all, I like defining the root of a problem before assuming what the answer should be. People often jump to a solution before really understanding what they're really trying to solve. That's why so many problems have to be "solved" multiple times.

This actually covers a range of positions I held at Sprint within the User Experience Design organization. I developed content, created wireframes, and managed several teams during this period. I managed writers, graphic designers, HTML developers and CMS managers, often concurrently.

Managed Argus' first Marketing team, responsible for creating brochures, newsletters, technical documentation and Argus' first website.

Created printed User Guides and Online Help Systems for advanced medical software system applications, including Cerner's first GUI-based systems in the late 90's. Also tested these applications and logged defects before they were released to the professional community.

Managed corporate donation program, heavily weighted toward pharmaceuticals and medical supplies to be sent to impoverished children in Central & South America, the Middle East and Asia. I submitted a proposal which resulted in a $50,000 computer equipment donation from a major PC manufacturer.Prior to that, I held various positions at CI, including my first management role as a Customer Service Supervisor. I also gained my first professional writing experience here.
