Area Superintendent | Senior Gas Turbine Control Specialist
Current• Member of Power Utilities Area Asset Team: Plan and organize budget, maintenance issues, new and ongoing projects.• Handles shift schedules and employee performance reviews for area.• Analyze daily gas turbine operating data for troubleshooting purposes. • Interpret gas turbine and steam turbine elementary diagrams as the needed arises.• Train and authorize to sign facility excavation permits.• Uses Ladder Logic software to help in troubleshooting tasks on gas turbines.• Maintains maintenance punch lists for Gas turbines and Steam Turbine.• Provides weekend and after hours coverage on rotating basis. • Assists:o operations personnel in identifying potential problems by making daily routine checks on units. o in identifying and developing list of critical instrumentation and electrical spare parts for unitso operation of Power Plant and Electrical Distribution system as required. o regularly Operator training. o Power & Utilities staff in retrieving and interpreting historical information through historian systems, and SCADA system. o developing of the T/A work scope for the Gas Turbines, Steam Turbine and Generator• Analyze Gas Turbines, and Steam Turbine alarm list daily for diagnostic alarms related to MK IV, MK V, MK VI and operational alarms.• Troubleshoot control system grounds.• Calibrates cards G.E. Exciter systems• Calibrate gas turbine’s fuel oil and fuel gas system.• Make changes turbine controls software and hardware as needed.(Ladder Logic)• Monitors operation of Human Machine Interface (HMI) and historian, and performs maintenance as needed. • Conducts polarization index test on generator and rotor.• Involved in commissioning, and testing of the Load shedding system.• Conduct Partial discharge testing on Generators in Power/Utilities area. • Manage efficient daily operation in Power/Utility area includes coordination of work activities, employee scheduling and time sheets.
