Moved 9 different business units from disparate processes and systems to common shared workflows and systems in areas including vulnerability scanning, computer imaging, account provisioning, network monitoring, vendor account management, IT Asset inventory, and patch management. Built and managed the team that maintained and operated the centralized systems.Responsible for IT Infrastructure design and implementation for centralization of Master Control operations for 8 Broadcast Television stations using high speed wan transport for moving heavy multicast video streams and large video files between the central hub and the eight stations.Negotiated contracts and deals with sourcing, legal and vendors.Planned and executed the divisions' initial move to the cloud with implementation of AWS based journalist facing editorial systems and hybrid on prem/cloud large file transfer systems.Selected technology, designed, and completed implementation, to micro-segment nine sites into many trust zones behind Palo Alto firewalls in preparation for the switch to zero trust.Led the selection of a new editorial vendor for eight newsrooms, replacing and combining numerous outdated systems into one integrated file based video and editorial production system.

I was recruited to help with the transition to a new building and complete the automation of master control and news workflows, moving from tape based to file based digital workflows. I built the IT Department of two people and a few dozen computers into the Broadcast Technology department with seven staff and over 1,800 networked devices. Under my direction, the department installed and now manages computerized news and production editing and playout systems, IP based SNG systems, IP based live truck editing and control systems, VoIP Telephones.

Executive in charge of building, from the ground up, a 24 hour computer support team to service a world-wide customer base of television and radio newsrooms. Designed, built and maintained mission critical hardware and software LAN systems for a world wide base of clients. Responsible for on site support of our systems for special projects such as CBS Sports coverage of the Winter Olympics in both Albertville and Lillehammer. Developed revenue generating “Continuing Education” Classes to service our clients.

Hired as an assistant engineer to work with a new building (Studio) project. Promoted to Director of Engineering for Genesis Broadcasting in Sacramento. (KSFM -FM and KSMJ-AM). Responsible for daily technical operation and maintenance of studio facilities, FM transmitter site and two AM transmitter sites.

In charge of daily technical operation and maintenance of AM Broadcast facility. Superviised 1KW to 5KW Day pattern construction project, including rebuiding decayed directional array antenna network and replacing two tower ground system.
