Experienced Principal grade consultant, specialising in the field of remote sensing with a demonstrated history of working in the water utilities, renewables and wider environmental industry. I graduated from The Manchester Metropolitan University in 2004 with a bachelor’s of science degree in Environmental Management covering GIS, ecology, environmental survey as well as business management of SHEQ policies. I joined APEM in 2002 completing a 14-month work placement as part of my degree course, after which I returned to university to complete my degree. Upon graduation I re-joined APEM in 2004 as a Field Scientist. My career has enabled me to gain extensive experience within the environmental consultancy sector through my professional development from a Field Scientist to my present role as a Remote Sensing Technical Specialist.As an experienced project manager, I head up APEM’s hydrographic surveying team with extensive experience of applications including bathymetric survey, sub-bottom profiling, substrate classification, fisheries and macrophyte hydroacoustic surveys. I am experienced in other geomatic survey applications including aerial and topographic survey for supporting land mapping projects. I routinely work with geospatial data and skilled in geoprocessing techniques, spatial analyses and cartography. In my current role, I am involved in tender writing and developing project budgets as well as management and delivery of a diverse range of projects in various size and scale.
