I was the Engineering Services Clerk for the Mechanical Design division of Generation Engineering. I was brought in as a temp initially and within 9 months I had been offered a contract as my roles and responsibilities quickly increased. The job required me to look after all administration aspects of the division of over 40 employees, which required a broad range of skills. My role included:Organising and co-ordinating safety training for all employees of the division.Managing expenses of employees and time administration through SAP.Reviewing and proofing engineering memos and reports.Assisting in the non-technical aspects of engineering reports, e.g creating graphs and diagrams from existing data.Liaising with external companies for any administration issues of the division.
