Working in the IT consulting field for 24+ years. My career started out as being a highly certified systems engineer supporting a very large and diverse set of clients. I bring great communication and organization skills and ability to lead and mentor other engineers in my team. With my ability to manage people very well, backed up by my in-depth technical knowledge allowed me to expand my current Managed Infrastructure Services team and revenue exponentially. I work very closely with the sales team as a Pre-Sales engineer as well. We team together and confidently go into any small-mid size company and perform a systems analysis of their environment, perform any remediation needed and follow that up with a full-managed services solution. This service includes security vulnerability tests and remediation paths to help protect against all the vulnerabilities and or comply with many different compliancys. I started at Micro Business Systems as field engineer. After a few months, I took over the role of Service Manager. This allowed me to do project work while managing a team of 5 other technicians. Part of my role as service manager was scheduling service calls, pre-sales project work, client appointments, ordering parts, maintain inventory for our service contract clients and reviewing all work orders from the technicians for client billing. I designed our network upgrades and system rollouts and was the lead engineer and/or managed the technicians during these projects. Cold calling possible new clients and reaching out to existing clients were somethings that I would do to keep the group productivity high. During my 2+ years, I took and passed many HP exams and managed the certification levels of the other technicians. This allowed the company to continue to service HP Server, PC and printer line of products for our clients.

I started Switch Computers as an entry-level technician. I quickly worked my way up to become a bench and field technician. We built and supplied White Box (clone) Servers and PC's to other business partners and companies. A majority of the servers we built were Novell file servers for small and Mid-sized companies. I would build the servers and pc's, load the operating systems on them and either go on-site and set them up or ship them to the client directly. We also were a 3rd party memory distributor for HP, Compaq and IBM servers. I would configure and solder the memory to the manufacturer’s specifications and run each DIMM or SIMM through testing before sending it out to the end-user.
