I have provided strategic communications advice to some of the UK's most highly scrutinised and regulated organisations, steering them through their most challenging reputational issues, and restoring public, political, and regulators' faith.I work directly with CEOs in the media spotlight on corporate communications to shift public and media opinion from distrust and confusion to support and understanding. I'm down to earth and devoid of pretence. My judgement and counsel are quickly trusted across the C-suite. 𝗠𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲:𝗥𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Advised the Plc Board on how to change the public, media, and regulators' perception of industrial action from distrust and disinterest to support and understanding. The change in public mood forced the union to agree to a pay deal. It gave the regulator, OFCOM, confidence to announce the review of the Universal Service Obligation needed to secure Royal Mail's future. 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝘅 𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: Devised two award-winning integrated campaigns that reset and restored HMRC's reputation among the media, parliamentarians, and the public on handling tax evasion and avoidance. Generated more than £50 million in tax revenues and more than 500 voluntary disclosures of tax avoidance, influencing the online debate on corporate tax avoidance.𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀: Provided communications counsel to the Prime Minister (Rt Hon David Cameron), Chancellor and Home Secretary and acted as spokesperson for the Prime Minister's 'Panama Papers' Taskforce. Took the heat out of the story, buying time to make progress away from the media glare and ensuring balanced media reporting. 𝗕𝗔𝗔 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: Led a media engagement strategy focused on the added value BAA offered through its leadership strategy. Added 310p to the share value at takeover, realising the true value in BAA.𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗲: Professionalised the Brigade's media, political, and community engagement following scathing media commentary and political ostracisation following the Grenfell tragedy. Within six months, LFB had been invited to the annual Grenfell community memorial service and received visits and meeting requests from Cabinet Secretaries of State.𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁❓I'm looking to help organisations in the media spotlight.
