About Mark Mcdermott

Mark McDermott is the President and Owner of Touching Hearts at Home, a senior home companion care provider, and and CEO of Together in Caring, a geriatric care management company. His desire to serve seniors stems from personal experience with his mother, who died of cancer at home after a lengthy illness. The care she received at home inspired Mark to make a career change to positively impact the lives of seniors and their families. Mark was raised in New Jersey and has lived in the Rochester NY area for since 1998. He received degrees from Boston College and the University of Buffalo Law School. His career has also included practicing law, directing a corporate human resources department and owning/operating a manufacturing company. When not working, Mark enjoys family time, physical fitness, the outdoors, reading and civic volunteering. He lives in Pittsford NY and has 3 children and 2 grandchildren.Specialties: In home senior care; companion care; elder care; dementia care; respite care; care management.
