I returned to PorchLight as President and was primarily involved in, and responsible for, the development and retention of the PorchLight team of realtors and leading all-company meetings to kickstart the culture after a very challenging year. The position was eliminated after COVID as the owners returned to full-time roles in the business.

Initially responsible for the day to day operations of the business. Over time migrated towards being primarily involved in, and responsible for, the development and retention of the PorchLight team of realtors. In the real estate business the life-blood of every brokerage lies in the strength and depth of their team of realtors. Without a team of great realtors, supported by reliable systems, a brokerage is destined to stagnate and ultimately fail. With a team of great realtors a brokerage flourishes. My primary role at PorchLight ultimately was about generating new team members and retaining the ones who were already on the team. The company grew rapidly during my tenure as CEO.

McGhee Productivity Solutions (MPS) is a professional management consulting and productivity training and coaching business focused on creating and sustaining cultures that are Aligned, Accountable and rooted in contemporary Leadership Principles. As an Executive Consultant for MPS I worked directly with a multitude of Fortune 500 leadership teams across a wide range of industries. My primary function was to facilitate multi-day, off site, strategic planning retreats that resulted in a detailed strategic and operational plan for the executive leadership team to implement. I was further engaged to support the executive leadership team in cascading and sustaining the strategic plan through various levels of management. In addition, I was typically hired to provide Executive Leadership Development Coaching for various leaders in the organization. Outside of all of these "higher level' management consulting engagements I also worked directly with executives on transforming their time management, productivity, and organizational management habits with the goal of vastly improving their effective capacity to manage increasing levels of information and activity.

As the CEO I was responsible for the day to day operations, and the P&L, of the business. More specifically, I was responsible for setting the strategy and vision for the business, determining what markets the company entered, what product lines we would offer, and how the company would differentiate itself from the competition. Established budgets, formed strategic partnerships, and hired and led a dynamically capable leadership team to steer the company. One of the greatest challenges and joys was the responsibility to establish the culture of the business. I hired and led the leadership team and the leadership team hired and led the balance of the 250+ people in the organization. Keeping the leadership team aligned and focused was remarkably rewarding work, as was establishing a culture that valued each person in the organization and their respective contribution to our growth and success.
