Mr. Paunović is an economist, working in the Belgrade office of the International Monetary Fund. He graduated at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade (2000) and received his Masters degree in Public Administration at the University of Pennsylvania on a US Government scholarship (2003). From 2001 to 2011 he worked in three occasions as the adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Yugoslavian and Serbian Government. Since 2002 he has worked on a number of research and policy projects in Serbia, ranging from social housing and urban land financing to the competition policy and various impact assessment studies. He has strong analytical and quantitative skills. Also, for 6 years he was the Executive Director of the Center for Liberal - Democratic Studies, one of the leading Serbian think tanks.His professional interests include the economics of the public sector, public policy analysis, international economics, economic analysis of law, statistics and econometrics.
