I act as the main conduit to the wider industry regarding a number of areas of the Smart Metering Programme:I am actively involved in the development of the Smart Metering Industry Technical Specifications in the UK including SMETS1, SMETS2 and GBCS.I am also actively involved in the development of the DCC User Interface, which forms the backbone of the DCC service to users.I am also heavily involved in the SMETS1 Enrolment and Adoption Programme, in helping to design the enduring service and the migration approach.

This involved the design and development of a mathematical model for bid evaluation that ensured an optimum auction result for the client. Also provided support and advice during the auction to the client.

Providing business Analysis services to major Gas Utilities clients.Mark was chair of the SPAA Expert Group, an industry wide forum charged with the development of the retail gas metering market within the UK.Mark was part of a team of industry experts that designed the data flows that supported the business processes for the programme to introduce metering competition into the UK gas market.Mark also helped a major UK Utility implement the systems and processes required to handle the introduction of metering competition.
