My role within Rite Aid was comprehensively manage operations, staffing, and merchandising strategies for 4 stores with hardlines, softlines, and fully developed pharmacy department. I managed grand openings, developed training initiatives, and streamlined operations, which allowed me to achieve multiple awards for revenue and profit growth. Through detailed inventory management and staff training I was not only able to significantly reduce shrinkage but also optimize inventory tracking to maintain high levels of accuracy. This had a positive impact on profit and I was subsequently recognized with an EBITA District Award.

At Fred’s I had full P&L responsibility for a multimillion dollar store and I successfully increased both revenue and profit margins through dynamic staff training initiatives and customer service strategies. I also reevaluated the merchandising strategy to effectively increase average order size and turn high profit items into high volume sales. I implemented Lean staffing techniques and cross-trained employees to maximize coverage, and subsequently resulted in significant cost reductions.

As Store Manager for a high-volume auto parts store, I focused heavily on inventory management while also developing, training, and mentoring staff. These strategies combined, allowed me to increase overall productivity, strengthen employee subject matter expertise, and ultimately improve customer experience and satisfaction.

It was at CVS I developed a real-world knowledge of how to leverage management training with talent development to generate organizational progress. I was selected to support several grand openings and deployed solid hiring and training techniques to identify quality talent, cultivate skills, and improve store performance.
