Mr. Sanger became an owner of WSIC in June of 2006 after being approached as a possible investor. Before he became an owner of the company, Mark’s experiences included radio sales, Science teacher, experiential exhibit sales, licensed real estate broker, investor, and also a volunteer fireman. He attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina and Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, Michigan. His degrees include one in Applied Fire Science and another in Radio and Television Broadcasting(B.A). As President and CEO of the company, Mark is responsible for the entire operation. His work is done behind the scenes – planning for the future to expand the station’s reach and effectiveness. Mark enjoys all aspects of the radio industry and feels that it is a privilege to be part of a station with a great audience that loves to be involved. He says that the Lord has blessed the station with professional and personable employees who are fun to work with and be around every day. When Mark is able to get away from work, he enjoys spending time with his wife Kathy and their four children. And, when not busy playing with the kids or doing things for his wife, Mark enjoys fellowship with friends, talking politics & religion, hunting, fishing, basketball, and building or fixing things. Concerning his favorite sports team, Mark says "it depends on who’s "live" on WSIC at the time." Mark and his family are members of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Winston-Salem.
