About Mark Shock

Mark Shock is an actor and voice over artist based in New York City. He has performed off-Broadway, in films & television, and alongside such well-known actors as Helen Hunt and Michael Shannon in the Barrow Street Theatre's production of "Our Town" (the longest running production of the play in history). In the VO world Mark specializes in narration, commercials and interactive projects.Mark is also an Americana singer-songwriter. His original songs focus on individuality, hope and having a sense of adventure, and his music has been played on radio stations across the United States, Canada and Europe. Outside of the performing world, Mark worked for 13 years at The Atlantic Philanthropies, the organization founded by “the James Bond of philanthropy”, Chuck Feeney. Atlantic closed its doors in 2020 after fulfilling its mission to disperse its entire $8 billion endowment to help disadvantaged and vulnerable populations worldwide. Mark is a big fan of classic films, horror movies, comedies and sci-fi; he loves spending time on Mackinac Island; and he's always on the lookout for the perfect plate of fish ’n’ chips (which so far exists at The Trident restaurant in Sausalito). And if you’re ever in San Francisco, get the Secret Breakfast ice cream at Humphry Slocombe. You’ll thank him.
