After losing my job during the recession while employed in the Video Game industries as a Quality Assurance Analyst and retiring from the Nightlife Promotions business, I found my passion in Coffee after being employed as a part-time Barista/Coffee Professional for a local cafe.My interests eventually led me to join the SCAA (Specialty Coffee Association of America) as a Barista Guild member and since then, I have learned to become a specialty coffee roaster, barista and business professional. My journey's in coffee has eventually led me to start a Cottage Food Operation called, the House of Wisdom Microroastery - a small batch coffee roasting company - after learning about the California Homemade Food Act which was signed into law on September 12, 2012, which I ran for two years in the highly competitive bay area coffee market before deciding to shutter the business.Besides working as an independent contractor for small companies in coffee consulting, equipment/product sales, media, design and event's planning, I joined Off The Grid Culinary on May 18, 2018 starting as a Barista-Crew Member & Driver on their Red Triangle Coffee+Provisions food truck, in recent months I've learned the inner workings and gained valuable experience in the mobile food industry with goals of one day starting independent food trucks to complement future food businesses I build and invest in.My most recent entrepreneurial interests has lead me towards Esports player management and building a bay area community around the hit game Fortnite due to my son's recent successes in online and offline competitive events leading me to creating the Mavericks Esports Club, aka MEC - which was named after our churches CYO Basketball team that my son played for and I've coached for 6 years. I recently have been able to help my son reach Twitch affiliate status and coached him to be a top 1% player in Fortnite as well as represented and managed his content creation production.
