Mark is a former athlete and US Marine who while in the Corps, was a Series Honor Man, a recipient of the American Spirit Honor Medal, Naval Achievement Medal and numerous Physical Fitness Awards. As a Staff Sergeant of Marines, he was selected to become an officer and a pilot and was sent to the University of Washington to complete his degree. An injury led to his early discharge from service, but not before he attained his Bachelor’s degree in finance from U of W in 1983. He is a dedicated Husky, who bleeds purple blood. Mark is a former builder/developer, who built over 100 Custom Homes and high-end remodels in the Puget Sound Region. He is also the former Owner and President of Paradigm Financial Services, Inc., a Seattle based real estate funding company and several other associated companies involved in project funding, administration, lending and investment. His business knowledge base includes insurance, investments, pensions, acquisition and development, construction, and project evaluation and funding. Currently, Mark is the Owner/Manager of Resource Capital, LLC, a Seattle based real estate funding, investment and education company. Mark is also an accomplished Hobby Chef and a Graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School who loves to cook for several charity events each year. He is a 14 year member of the Board of Directors of the Washington Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Charitable Guild. He lives in Seattle with Carla, his high school sweet heart and wife of 37 years and they have two children and two grandchildren also living in the Seattle area.
