Second Road is arguably the pioneer in bringing design thinking to strategy and organisational transformation. I had been involved since its origins in 1986 (then called Golsby-Smith & Associates), first as an employee, then adviser, and finally as CEO. A rare privilege to have led this extraordinary company of hugely talented people.

I was engaged by the board to turn around an undergraduate and postgraduate college founded in 1922. It was an extraordinary privilege to be acknowledged as rangatira within the runanga of Maori elders and especially to be cloaked twice with the nga kākahu seen in my photo above with my mentor John Komene, kaumatua of the college. The task involved setting.
