At Blue Olive I work closely with graphic designers, freelancers and account executives in theinitial stages of a client's website planning and design. This includes researching competitors'sites, SEO trends, building website flowcharts, and if necessary, contacting domain registrarsand hosts to notify them of any changes that will be made. When the designs are approved byour clients it is then given to me, where I will lead in the development effort to convert each pageto HTML. I will also program the necessary PHP/MySQL application back-end, as well as codeany Javascript form validation and AJAX required for the project scope. Finally, I post the newsite to the Internet, after it had been thoroughly tested and approved. Even then, once the sitehas been posted, I continue to be very hands-on, updating and maintaining it, depending on itsowner's wishes and needs. This position has also offered me some experience in managing thecompany's Window's Small Business Server, working with Premier Pro, plus gave me theopportunity to work with online Flash Video. Currently, I am the lead developer on a web projectfor a pharmaceutical supply company. We are in the process of building their site to generatequotes, take orders and manage multiple levels of sales representatives, and provide an up-to-date report of their commission payout.

I owned my own company providing freelance website development. During this time, I workedwith multiple local advertising agencies as a freelance web developer. After receiving siteflowcharts and designs from an agency, my time was spent coding and implementing the design,making it fully functional and then posting the final result to the appropriate server. At ATSA, I was the sole website specialist and developer for the agency. I managed andmaintained well over 40 websites at any given time, plus added to that list whenever a new clientcame on board. I seen to the implementation of new websites designed by the Art Director andbuilt PHP/MySQL applications into new and pre-existing client websites. I learned to build emailcampaigns that I'd then send out to email lists given to us by our clients. I also developed somevery “client specific” CRM software which automatically generated customer return letters thatcould be printed and mailed, if desired by our clients.
