Experimental Quantum Computing group. Technical and team lead for the hardware development of next generation superconducting quantum circuits, including multi-qubit processors and quantum-limited amplifiers. Define and execute strategies to scale up the size and complexity of quantum systems while maintaining quality metrics and mitigating detrimental effects. Address engineering challenges, such as new features integration, functionality improvements, process adjustments, yield ramp, etc. Exploratory work on new materials & designs and alternative tooling and integration schemes. Manage all aspects and interactions related to quantum chip making and guide diverse, project-based teams to deliver best possible quantum hardware efficiently.

Nanostructures and Exploratory Devices group. Develop proof-of-concept integration schemes and deliver one-of-a-kind demonstrations of nanoscale electronic devices. Advanced lithography research to push the limits of high resolution patterning with focus on CMOS applications, including sublithographic patterning extensions, such as sidewall image transfer (SADP) and directed self-assembly (DSA). Active member of the development team for 4 advanced technology development test sites at the 14nm and 7nm nodes. Lithography, design, and integration expert for numerous exploratory research projects, including the DNA transistor, bio-nanofluidics, carbon electronics, magnetic random access memory (MRAM), middle-of-line and back-end metalization.
