Cyber Security Engineer
• Started as an intern working 40 hours per week and was hired full-time after one year to assist in optimizing cybersecurity, support security solution development efforts, assist in developing/managing system requirements, and researching/applying emerging security technologies and best practices. • Served on the Tactical Airspace Integration Systems Team that developed a series of scripts used to perform automated cybersecurity testing. • Conducted deployments on several different platforms that included deploying a military SRNC17 laptop, Mach 1 computer, and the Shelter system and developed scripts using different coding languages (Python, Power Shell, Pester, JavaScript) to perform a series of tasks through 2-week sprints. • Received Engineering Excellence Award and Engineering Achievement Coin for overall contributions. • Recognized one of the few cybersecurity team members capable of working in a hybrid role that included providing both on-site and remote cybersecurity services to military accounts. • Earned positive comments from Cybersecurity Manager contributions, honesty/integrity, willingness to take on complex projects/challenges, strong communication skills, collaboration/teamwork with associates, and leadership qualities for future management/director-level career advancement. • Developed a script used when a system was turned on by a soldier that automatically checked the registry hive and updated any outdated software. • Completed an Air Space Monitoring project and was responsible for eliminating firewall issues or any other vulnerabilities within the Air Space Monitoring system that would allow threats from enemy forces. • Worked on Virtual Deployments that included creating a virtual IP address used by soldiers located throughout the world to run testing to monitor their Air Space Systems and other duties required by the U.S. Army.
