I worked on the Synopsys CNN SDK designing and developing software to automatically map Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) described using frameworks such as Caffe or TensorFlow to a heterogeneous Embedded Vision Processor.

I was part of the Roadmap BSP Team at QNX. Some of my responsibilities include board bring-ups, device drivers, debugging, optimizing driver and system performance, investigating new BSP related technologies, and working with silicon vendors.

I was part of the Engineering Services BSP working on the following:• Board bring-ups for several high volume automotive and embedded customers• Bootloader & QNX startup development – pin muxing, cache init, timer init, interrupt callouts, etc.• Driver development - i2c, SPI, USB, UART, Audio, CAN, SD/MMC/SDIO drivers, WiFi (primarily Broadcom chipsets)• Development using various SOCs from Freescale (i.MX), Nvidia (Tegra family), TI (OMAP, Jacinto, AM335x, etc.), some x86 platforms, PPC and SuperH based SOCs• Performance optimization, which included boot time investigations, improving driver throughput, CPU usage, latency, etc.• Participated in several workshops to resolve critical issues for Automotive Tier 1 customer and also general embedded customers

I worked in the Engineering Services team, helping customers optimize and solve issues regarding the use of the QNX Neutrino operating system in various embedded systems. Most of my time was spent working on Board Support Packages which consisted of fixing drivers (serial drivers, flash drivers, etc.), optimizing network performance, troubleshooting memory issues, helping with GPIO configuration, as well as packaging multimedia software such that it could be readily used by customers. I worked primarily in C occasionally using C++.

Designed, implemented and tested features for JDSU’s WaveReady optical networking products.-Used C/C++ to develop new features for a Transaction Language 1 (TL-1) User Interface. Features mainly consisted of adding new TL-1 commands and alarms, and implementing them in C/C++.-All software was written for an embedded system using a QNX Neutrino Real time operating system.

Developed a database to store and manage electronic components.-Created a database using Microsoft Access and VBA.-Developed tools to maintain the database – database recovery functionality, bug recording, as well as creating connectivity with another DRDC database.
