In November 2017 I came across the opportunity to merge QNSs' client base and services with Active8 Manager Technologies Limited (a large Managed Service Provider). The aim was to help grow the business into verticals that QNS had thus far been unable to gain traction whilst continuing to support the existing client base. By joining efforts, we have been able to achieve more than either company could have alone. After the successful merger, I took on the role of Business Development Manager / IT Consultant which, in the main, provides me with all the same opportunities and enjoyment as when I was running QNS independently, albeit no longer at Director level. Throughout my time with Active8 I have been pivotal in developing vertical market opportunities, leading to a significant uplift in contact bids won. Since the outset of the Covid-19 crisis, businesses requirements for additional IT infrastructure has dramatically increased, including the need for servers, PCs, VPNs, router configuration, VoIP deployments and printing systems which has enabled me to get on the ground and facilitate ease of access to these services for new and existing clients.
