Volunteer Engagement Manager
CurrentMy role is a varied and exciting one. I am responsible for spearheading at an operational level the ILCU’s engagement with credit union boards, directors and volunteer officers both in the ROI and NI. This engagement is focused on assisting credit unions in recruiting, mentoring, supporting and retaining directors and officers with relevant skills, qualifications and ethical values appropriate to governing the highly trusted community based financial entities that our affiliated credit unions deservedly are. I am also involved on the ILCU’s behalf in helping to coordinate its Chapter (regional and local cooperative structure) across the island of Ireland. This is a fantastic, dynamic role that allows me to put to use the relationship and communication skills I’ve developed over my long and varied career but most of all it enables me to help to add value to financial organisations the length and breadth of Ireland which put their members (customers) and communities, rather than profit, at the centre of everything they do.
