Managed a group of 4-6 engineers in the development of Aperio's core technologies.

Designed and developed the "Controller" software for Aperio's ScanScope product line. The Controller is a C++, multi-threaded application that interfaces to motion controllers and video systems to capture and produce digital slides. The Controller software supports the entire ScanScope product line from the T108 through the latest products.

Laser Cutter/Motion controller.Developed integrated CAD designer/emulator software for industry leading laser cutter. The software package allows customers to import drawings of cut patterns from popular graphics tools and tailor them to run on the laser cutter. The software package also emulates the behavior of the motion controller in the laser cutter.

Responsible for product definition, product roadmap, customer requirements. Assumed responsiblity for marketing when the VP of Marketing left the company. Duties included advertising, trade shows, lead generation, market positioning.

Assumed leadership of a small group of engineers to develop an Internet Firewall product on Windows NT.Wrote web-based license management system that uses X.509 digital certificates for authentication and ASP and COM objects under IIS to generate license keys.Wrote two chapters on ActiveX for a SAMS publication called "Visual C++ 5 Developer's.

Worked with a small group of engineers to develop an Internet Firewall product on Windows NT. Designed and implemented the Authentication Server using Visual C++ and MFC. This involved creating a shared multiple process heap using Memory Mapped Files, Events and Semaphores. Designed and implemented a client/server authentication tool using sockets.
