With over 2000 hours on stage as an actress, educator and facilitator, MarLa Brennan has performed in over 600 schools, festivals and live events. A recipient of a Canada Council Research and Creation Grant, Marla founded the initiative Imagination Beats Cancer, which shines light on the importance of creativity in cancer recovery. A speaker at Ovarian Cancer Canada, and a recipient of Stand Up to Cancer's Music as Healing Grant, Marla uses her gifts as an artist and her experience as a cancer survivor to educate, entertain and inspire. As a character actress and juggler, Marla performs a comedic act, The Juggling Chef at markets, festivals and community events.
