After 20+ years of working at the Tulsa Health Department with some wonderful people, doing some wonderful things for our community, I retired in order to play a bit before my time runs out - whenever that will be ;)

I worked in the Children First program - a home visit program that provided one-on-one parent preparation and education for first-time parents from 28 weeks of pregnancy and before until the child reached its 2nd birthday.

I started as a stringer for the local section of the paper. I wrote stories, provided calendar information and took photos as needed. Occasionally, I contributed a story and photos to the main section of the paper. In around 1993, I was hired full-time as a reporter/photographer and about a year later, I became the assistant editor for the local section of the paper.
