As a Research Worker I am responsible for the evaluation of the periodontal status of the INVEST study participants, performing a complete dental examination with dental plaque and gingival fluid sample collection, recruitment, obtaining informed consent, telephone interviews, responsible for data entry, coordinate visits of patients, collect clinical epidemiological and laboratory data and maintain appropriate logs.• Assumed the role of Coordinator for 6 months. I was the petty cash custodian, organized the inventory and timely delivery of supplies. I also, communicated the findings to researchers and study participants and maintain relationships with the Stroke and Ultrasound Division of the Department of Neurology, and advocating for study participants.• Assisted in supervising and training new recruiters. Successfully recruited over 40 people who previouslydeclined to return.
