I am in charge of other student employees, a group of 8-12 students, who work in the cafeteria at my university. I delegate tasks, lead the food service, and manage the clean up of a meal that serves over 1,000 students. I am in charge of ensuring that the strict food safety regulations are followed. I act as the liaison between the students, management, and the chefs to make sure the the shift is successful and safe. I have to make sure that tasks are completed properly and safely.

At this internship I was able to review plans for site developments ranging from single-family units to multi-unit apartments throughout the city of Colorado Springs. I was given the opportunity to participate in various meeting involving owners, developers, and engineers to solve issues that arose in development. I researched solutions to problems, like easement issues, using GIS and other systems. I produced requested documentation and assignments to help with development. I also rode along with various departments through Utilities to get a good idea of the scope of work the company handles.
