I am the founder and Lead Steward of Chainless Change, Inc. (CCI), a community of recovery, advocacy, and support for those who are impacted by the criminal legal system. As a Black-led and disability-led organization, CCI has a particular focus on ameliorating the disproportionate impacts of the criminal legal system on vulnerable subpopulations, including persons with disabilities and behavioral health conditions, people of color, and LGBTQ+ individuals.In my role, I support the strategic direction of our Member-led organization on both local and national levels, ensuring that our initiatives remain aligned with our mission of empowering justice-involved individuals. Managing fiscal responsibilities is also a key part of my role, and includes budgeting, payroll, grant maintenance, and reporting. Additionally, I am responsible for expanding our reach through fundraising and donor cultivation. I also nurture cross-sector relationships, raising awareness of social issues relating to the criminal legal system and identifying partner organizations for our recovery-oriented system of care. Lastly, I am responsible for ensuring our team is professionally trained and can harness both their skills and lived experience to bolster our organizational priorities and values.

In this role, I spearheaded the development of programmatic recruitment and outreach strategies to effectively engage our target audience. Additionally, I recorded and maintained recruitment data for entry, evaluation, and internal reporting. I also played a key role in program implementation by conducting evaluations, ensuring quality assurance through audit checks, and gathering community feedback via focus groups.

In this role, I oversaw the coordination of installation, repair, and construction projects for over 50 commercial heating, ventilation, and AC (HVAC) accounts. I recruited, trained, and supervised vendors, ensuring compliance with company protocols. Additionally, I meticulously tracked project schedules, performance metrics, and expenditures to guarantee adherence to budgets and deadlines, and was responsible for preparing accurate and timely monthly billing.

I maintained schedules and ensured effective communication with customers to address concerns, resolve issues, and enhance satisfaction and retention.
