My core skill is Business Development of new markets for the supply of Electrical, Control and SCADA solutions worldwide. Initially I developed new SCADA solutions for the worldwide mining market. This lead to developing new markets for Electrical, Control and SCADA equipment in China, Russia and other ex Soviet Areas, Central Europe and elsewhere. Latterly I have fronted the development of a completely new market for my company supplying complex Electrical solutions for the Rail Industry. In 7 years this has become a regular £3-4m per year business. Following this success I was asked to move back into my company's core Mining business providing Business Development Management of both our core OEM customers and in challanging export markets. This task includes developing contacts at all levels, finding and signing up agents in export markets, seeking and negotiating contracts, obtaining approvals and certification, liasing with customers during the supply and handover phases. The key to progress with making good contacts is to understand the needs of customers, both organisations and individuals by providing close technical based advice and support.Specialties: Providing a good mix of organisational, commercial, technical and personal understanding of customers needs.
