Research and development in the field of electron beam powder bed fusion (PBF-EB) and additive manufacturing. My responsibilities comprised running and maintaining a prototype PBF-EB machine with 150 kV acceleration voltage and an Arcam A2X machine, developing process parameters for novel alloys, and analyzing produced samples. I published the results of my research in scientific journals and presented at various conferences.

During my master´s thesis, the potential of using additive-manufactured aluminum parts in the early stages of safety tests was investigated. The parts are heat-treated to mimic the serial-production parts. The performance and cost of the aluminum parts were broadly analyzed against other pilot production technologies, for instance, sand casting.

My PhD thesis revolves around the additive manufacturing of titanium aluminides. TiAl is processed on a conventional Arcam A2X electron.
