Throughout my time I have managed several assets including Urbanest Carlton, Urbanest Melbourne Central and Atira La Trobe Street, with extended periods managing multiple properties at once (circa 1000 beds). I am currently stationed at the Melbourne portfolio’s largest operational property at 770 beds, Atira La Trobe St. More specifically, my role involves:- Leading a team to ensure the delivery of the highest quality customer service to our awesome residents who come from all over the world to stay at our industry leading properties. In this highly competitive market, I believe it is our customer service that ensures we maintain a loyal customer base and highly reputable status among our international partners.- Full accountability for the properties’ physical and financial occupancy.- Budgeting (staff + annual operational budgets), P&L, Invoicing procedures.- Relationship building and stakeholder engagement with our educational partners.- High level of involvement with the Sales teams’ initiatives including Rebooking campaigns, discovering new sales channels and most importantly, driving sales on the ground.- Regular staff training to ensure we remain a fully engaged team which drives our staff retention. Staff recruitment across several departments (Customer Experience, Events, Housekeeping and Facilities) also falls within my responsibilities.- Managing the day-to-day operation of our Housekeeping services which is performed by our team of four in-house team members.- Oversea daily maintenance requirements of the property which involves contractor engagement and liaising with our facilities team and on-site Facilities Tech.- Served as the Melbourne WH&S representative and presented quarterly safety and compliance reports to the central committee. Supervised a team of 15 restaurant and bar staff at a busy waterfront venue in Melbourne South Wharf precinct. As a strong functions space we hosted many high-profile events with up to 600 people. This was also a vibrant "peoples pub" where locals enjoyed great live music, warm and professional service and stunning South Wharf views.

As part of the Environmental Services team I was tasked with a wide range of responsibilities. I conducted tree planting plans for erosion prone farmland, and also digitised this data using ArcMap 10.3. Lastly, I assessed the suitability of proposed residential building sites based on their geology, past landuse and current condition which comprised a proportion of resource consents that landowners had applied for. Literature was added to the Eastland Wood Council's website to better inform the public of how local forestry operations were affecting the local environment. I liaised with prominent academics in Gisborne who were involved with gathering data and producing these studies, which aided in my understanding of the industry. I began doing simple shovel work, traffic control and various office tasks but soon progressed into heavy machinery operation (up to 18 tonnes, such as excavators, rollers, loaders) as I became more experienced. I obtained my Wheels, Tracks and Rollers license through Downer, as well.
