UTeach Arlington is the new science and mathematics secondary teacher preparation program at The University of Texas at Arlington. Thanks to grant funding from Texas Instruments, The Texas Education Agency, The National Math and Science Initiative, and The UTeach Institute, plus very strong support from The University of Texas at Arlington, UTeach Arlington launched in the fall of 2010.

Laying the Foundation provides teacher training, classroom-ready lessons, resources and support to ensure more students are college-ready.

ESCXII; As the regional secondary mathematics and science specialist, I served 78 districts and 14 charter schools by providing professional development training for teachers and administrators on a variety of educational topics: Mathematics content and pedagogy, Sheltered Instruction for English Language Learners, Teacher Preparation, Behavior training, Pre-AP vertical alignment, and Instructional Leadership Training. I represented the region on several committees for the State Board of Education and have presented at several state math conferences and national conferences on at-risk students.

District professional development for mathematics and science teachers, grant writing, new teacher training, District Improvement Plan. I began my administrative career in Azle ISD as the Academic Assistant Principal in charge of curriculum. During that time I authored and implemented the Community Mentor Program involving 125 community members.
