I retired in 2016 and am now supporting Marine Conservation Institute, a group of renown ocean scientists and policy leaders dedicated to securing permanent and strong protection for the oceans’ most important places. They believe in facts, use scientific principles to drive their work, are ethical and contagiously optimistic. I have spent my career in technology start-ups including security, networking, consumer electronics, financial technology, mobile networking and applications. My first start-up in 1975 was Astraltune, the first personal portable stereo and the precursor to the Sony Walkman. I serve on a number of boards and advisory boards including Calistoga Spa Hot Springs. I was graduated with a BA in journalism from University of Nevada.
