About Marta Segone
Since completing my bachelor's in International Studies, my interest in migration, as well as film- and documentary-making, has been growing. I have conducted various internships in the refugee and migration field, and as of more recently, have been focusing my time in doing internships and apprenticeships with film/documentary companies. Through these experiences, I have learned various aspects of film-making, specifically the planning, preparation, and research that it consists of, as well as the production processes. Moreover, during my master's degree in Social Anthropology, I spent five months conducting ethnographic fieldwork, with a focus on art-ivism and Palestine. I now am focusing my time on developing my thesis based on my fieldwork, creating a short-film with materials collected during my research, as well as continuing an internship at a documentary company.

I began interning for Differ Media in August 2024, to help with the production of a documentary film. My tasks include research, editing of film pitches and texts, assisting in financial applications, reviewing footage, and quality assurance of translations. Although my focus is on one specific film, I have been helping with other productions as well. Through this internship, I have been able to learn about the multitude of efforts that come into producing a documentary, furthering my interest in the field.

Un And Eu, Promotion, And Social Media Intern
I interned at GHRD from November of 2021 to June of 2022, for the UN and EU team and the promotion team, and for the social media team since January of 2022. I helped organize events, create social media posts, and brainstorm social media promotion tactics. I have also helped create documents needed for GHRD in relation to the UN, such as the ECOSOC document. In March of 2022 I took part in the trip to the UN in Geneva for the 49th Session on Human Rights Council, during which I attended UN sessions and talked to various delegates. Additionally, I organized an event on Refugees and Migration, with a week-long photography exhibition of photos taken throughout the Balkan Route, and a two hour long panel discussion with seven speakers with different backgrounds and insight into the migration field.
