Responsible for the creation of the Groups & Special Events department, setting policies,procedures, job descriptions, created various and new financial and contractual StandardOperating Procedures within the resort departments as well as with all vendors, Banquet Manual- Responsible in preparing budget and forecast figures in addition to the monthly revenue report- Responsible for contacting and meeting clients acting as liaison between the meeting planner and the hotel operations. Main hotel contact for many high-end and celebrities weddings, special celebrations as well as incentive programs.- Oversee all event/group functions by ensuring that all expectations are met, and creating a problem-free experience for the client.- Work with the Sales Department to assist and support with sales strategy, proposal development, pricing, presentations and closing business.- Conduct performance reviews for direct reports.- Play a key role as an executive on the Management Team in providing direction coinciding with One&Only Palmilla goals/objectives. Maintaining corporate culture and identity. Ensuring corporate goals and messages are communicated throughout the G&SE Department.
