Climate Change in general, including impacts and adaptation and extreme events, mitigation, National Communications and National Adaptation Plans for developing countries, negotiations and financing under the UNFCCC. Over 20 years of experience in policy advice on opportunities and challenges of climate change, including international financing. Strong knowledge of UNFCCC, UNDP, GEF, UNEP, and IPCC. Strong hands-on experience in the preparation of National Communications from developing countries, and in technical and financial assistance available, including preparing documentation needed to assess GEF funds, and in following up the work of the UNFCCC’s CGE on National Communications, and NAPs. Wide-ranging experience in organizing international meetings, providing technical support, preparing speeches, position papers, analytical reviews and strategic documents. Have the ability to combine technical information with an understanding of social, economic, political and environmental contexts.Diversified experience in representing UN agencies (UNDP and UNFCCC) in regional and international fora as well as negotiating and brokering resolutions to complex situations with Governments, private sector and international institutions.
