Court Administrator
Current• Responsible for the preparation and conducting docket sessions, which requires accuracy and maintenance of records/paperwork and fines processed during court sessions. • Manages and evaluates court personnel including deputy clerks (full and part-time) and the Town Marshal(s) positions. • Provides leadership and direction in developing long and short-range goals and objectives. • Reviews complaints and oversees the issuance of Class C Misdemeanor warrants. • Interacts with defendants on a daily basis.• Schedules trial dockets, attorney plea dockets, and show cause hearings.• Processes deposits daily from court staff and maintain records of court deposits submitted by court staff. Submit daily deposits to finance. Reconciles all court money; including fines and refunds and file bond forfeiture paperwork as needed. Also, process refunds as necessary.• Develops and maintains records retention program for all documents. Obtains approval for records destruction at the conclusion of retention schedule.• Prepares monthly reports to State of Texas, Office of Court Administration and Town Management.• Prepares quarterly tax report for timely submission to the Comptroller’s Office.• Maintains warrant files and assists in collection of delinquent citations.• Prepares and delivers Class C Misdemeanor Appeals to Tarrant County Court.• Supervises the performance of Bailiff duties during court sessions. • Creates the budget for all divisions of the Municipal Court in budget preparation for Municipal Court.• Attends training sessions and reviews new legislation to assess the impact on the Municipal court and adjusts policies and procedures, as dictated.• Performs other duties, as assigned.
