My role as Associate Director focuses on supporting the Reaching the Last Mile Fund (RLMF) expansion. The Reaching the Last Mile Fund (RLMF) was initiated in 2018 through a collaboration between the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Its primary focus was on eliminating onchocerciasis in seven target countries and lymphatic filariasis in areas where it is co-endemic. In 2023, the RLMF expanded its support to include four additional countries. By 2024, the fund has extended its reach to encompass 39 countries across Africa and Yemen, aiming to eliminate river blindness and lymphatic filariasis.My key responsibilities include supporting the management team and overseeing a portfolio of investments in CAR, DRC, Tanzania, and Zanzibar Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) within the Reaching the Last Mile Fund. I excel in engaging with country programs and grantee partners throughout the program lifecycle, from design to execution and financial and impact monitoring. This involves providing capacity-building and organizational development support to implementing organizations in the investment portfolio.A vital aspect of this role is translating reported data into various formats for internal and external use, utilizing a strategic approach. Additionally, I am accountable for monitoring program progress and managing cash flow. My skillset includes strong analytical skills, a solution-oriented mindset, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

As a Senior Associate, I play a critical role in supporting the implementation of the END Fund’s Flagship Fund, focusing on Neglected Tropical Disease (NTD) control projects across several high-burden countries in Africa. I provide both technical and managerial support, ensuring the quality of programs through detailed performance tracking and monitoring. My responsibilities include spearheading data quality initiatives, managing relationships with local partners, and proactively addressing challenges that arise in our program’s implementation. I also contribute to the design and execution of strategies to improve gender equity and social inclusion (GESI) within the projects I oversee. Some of my achievements include:- Leading the implementation of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) control programs in high-burden countries, overseeing projects in Eritrea, CAR, Burundi, Tanzania, and the DRC.- Spearheading data quality initiatives, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, and enhancing decision-making processes for program stakeholders.- Developing and contributing to organizational reflections on improving gender equity and social inclusion (GESI) within country programs.

My primary focus was on project management and monitoring of financial expenditure to ensure cost-effective resource utilization. I assisted in reviewing program outcomes, preparing donor reports, and facilitating risk assessments. As Program Coordinator, I was responsible for the coordination of CHAI's global vaccine delivery initiatives, working with teams across 15 countries. My role involved strengthening the performance of these teams, ensuring timely project delivery, and managing donor communications. I played a pivotal role in the execution of multi-country programs, working closely with governments and partners to align vaccination efforts with national health strategies. Additionally, I contributed to grant reporting, proposal development, and team expansion through effective recruitment and onboarding processes.My key achievements in this role include:- Successfully coordinated and led the donor reporting process for two major multi-country reports to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), ensuring accuracy and timely submissions and enhancing stakeholder engagement.- Developed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for team coordination and communication, enhancing operational efficiency and collaboration within the Global Vaccines Delivery team.- Drove the strategy, planning, and execution for the Global Vaccines Delivery team, aligning team goals with organizational objectives and improving overall program effectiveness.

Additionally, I contributed to financial management, partnership building, and resource mobilization strategies, ensuring alignment with advocacy objectives and enhancing overall program impact. My responsibilities included maintaining the project database with the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer, providing technical assistance to counties in planning and budgeting for health initiatives, and coordinating health promotion activities aimed at mitigating lifestyle-related risk factors for NCDs. I played a pivotal role in stakeholder management, fostering community partnerships, facilitating training workshops for community health workers, and documenting best practices across key projects. Additionally, I conducted literature reviews to generate content for research and ensured compliance with donor requirements through meticulous budget management. My key achievements in this role include: - Strengthened community partnerships, and successfully established and reinforced collaborations with local stakeholders, enhancing the implementation of NCD projects in targeted counties.- Developed a robust tracking system for project activities, which improved reporting accuracy and facilitated timely project evaluations.- Facilitated multiple workshops for community health workers, significantly increasing their capacity to implement health promotion activities and educate the community on NCD prevention.
