Beyond 12 will launch a two-year pilot of a new college coaching model. At the core of the new coaching model is a more robust version of the myCoach student engagement app. This app will serve as an on-demand guide that will help students keep track of key deadlines, resources, and opportunities on their campus.Project description: A large part of what makes myCoach unique is that the app will be highly customized according to the school that the student is attending. Interns helped in creating an index of various fields that will need to be populated according to each school (e.g. semester start/end date, official name of the Academic Advising office, FAFSA filing due date, URL links to campus resources, etc.). This project involved populating this index with the correct information from each of our 50 target schools for each field. This information will be fed into the backend of the system so that the app will be able to provide accurate and relevant information to students. This project also involved creating customized templates for the 120 task modules that will populate the myCoach app. These templates were customized with information from each of the 50 target schools we had identified. This project also involved uploading these templates into the backend of the myCoach app so that the app will be able to provide accurate and relevant information to students. Finally, this project involved testing each module to ensure that all information that has been uploaded is accurate and is being displayed properly.
