Housing Solutions, Inc. is a nonprofit organization focused on building systems that make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We are the lead agency for the Tulsa County HUD-funded Continuum of Care (CoC), also known as A Way Home for Tulsa. As the designated lead for A Way Home For Tulsa, we are tasked with developing and implementing the community's strategic plan as well as guiding local service providers through systems changes and implementing evidence-based practices.As CEO, I work proactively and collaboratively with City and County government, partner agency leadership, and public stakeholders working to end homelessness across Tulsa County and the state of Oklahoma. I am privileged to lead a diverse staff with expertise in affordable housing, coordinated entry, Homelessness Management Information Systems (HMIS), HUD Continuum of Care (CoC) funding, performance monitoring, technical assistance, program evaluation, communications, and financial management. In addition to our work as the lead agency, Housing Solutions has dedicated staff working to address and prevent homelessness through criminal justice-based initiatives, street outreach, and eviction prevention via the Landlord Tenant Resource Center.

Coordinate and lead the daily activities of The Way Home Continuum of Care’s (THW CoC) long-term planning efforts, as managed by CFTH; lead the strategic growth and development of future CoC Program initiatives and goals; provide guidance to senior leadership and internal subject matter expertise on legislative and governmental policies and practices; organize advocacy campaigns to protect and advance the rights of people experiencing homelessness; cultivate and foster community engagement; and lead special projects for the Strategic Planning Department. Foster the development of new supportive housing sites for The Way Home and its’ housing providers. Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the healthcare field to improve cross systems collaboration and delivery of services/resources to persons experiencing homelessness.

Houston, Texas Area

Oversaw SBP’s disaster recovery, resilience, and affordable housing development operations in Houston, TX. Responsibilities included: overseeing an annual operating budget of over $10 million, managing a team of over 50 staff and AmeriCorps members, developing relationships with donors and philanthropic entities, identifying new business opportunities for organizational growth and community impact.· Oversaw the repair of more than 165 homes damaged by Hurricane Harvey from July 2019 to December 2021. · Raised more than $1.2 million in funding for home repair projects in 2020 alone through new partnerships with the United Way of Greater Houston and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas as well as deepening SBP’s partnership with the American Red Cross.· Created a rapid home repair program in the wake of Winter Storm Uri which provided critical plumbing repairs to over 70 homes in the first 30 days and over 270 by the end of the year. This represented the largest number of homes repaired in a similar time period in SBP’s history.

Drove the success of SBP’s partnerships with the leaders of disaster impacted communities across the country. Responsible for identifying, pursuing, and overseeing SBP’s efforts to help reduce the time between disaster and recovery as it relates to accessing the resources and designing the programs necessary to cause full community recovery. Provided advisory services on the uses and best practices of federal disaster recovery funds, primarily HUD Community Development Block Grants for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR). This was accomplished by shaping, advising, and assisting in the delivery of high-quality government services and partnerships in disaster-affected areas.

Columbia, South Carolina Area

Developed the South Carolina Disaster Recovery Office's (SCDRO) Owner Occupied Repair and Disaster Case Management programs. SBP defines success as shrinking the time between disaster and recovery for survivors of natural disasters. I furthered our mission by directly managing nonprofit and volunteer-driven organizations as they repaired and rebuilt homes, collaborated with case management and funding organizations to address critical unmet needs, and served as a point of contact between the state-run recovery program and various stakeholders on the local, state, and national level. These efforts resulted in the repair or reconstruction of 24 homes and over $725,000 in federal funds being distributed to nonprofit organizations and long-term recovery groups across the state of South Carolina in little over the first year of activity.

Responsible for handling the day-to-day operations of the AmeriCorps program for SBP’s service site in Monmouth County, NJ. I worked to create a team-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, goal attainment, and the ongoing development of a strong organization.As the Volunteer Department Manager, I led a team of Volunteer Coordinatoors who live and breathe the belief that every person has an innate desire to help others. We unleash that desire by engaging people in SBP's mission through volunteering on our service sites, raising funds for our projects, and building awareness about the needs of disaster impacted communities.

Rockaway, Ny

Acted as the facilitator between Friends of Rockaway, our clients, and subcontractors rebuilding homes damaged by Super Storm Sandy. This was accomplished through a variety of methods including:-Coordinating multiple subcontractors working on various construction projects with budgets upwards of $40,000 including conducting walkthroughs, negotiating bids, processing invoices, reviewing work, and delivering payment.-Processing invoices, delivering checks, and maintaining accounts with vendors.-Organizing the supply and logistics of projects including making purchases, pickups, and tracking deliveries of construction materials and tools.

Far Rockaway, New York

Led over 200 skilled and unskilled volunteers in construction projects on over a dozen homes damaged by Hurricane Sandy.Ensured volunteers were trained, organized, on task, positively engaged, and safe at all times.Served as a liaison between volunteers and the homeowner, ensuring that the project remains on schedule and that volunteers learn the client’s story, and the effects of Hurricane Sandy.Encouraged volunteers to return, raise funds for future projects, and disseminate information on the needs of the community.

Buffalo, New York

Organized, supervised, and motivated a canvass staff of over 50, contributing to the successful election of Mr. Panepinto to a seat in the New York State Senate.Mapped out nightly canvassing turfs, designated points of deployment, and created teams of canvassers.Collected nightly canvassing results, input data into tracking system, and conducted quality control.Recruited new canvassers, developed schedules, and provided training.

Buffalo/Niagara, New York Area

Coordinated the After-School Network of Western New York (ASNWNY), facilitating partnerships between over 100 schools, educational providers, government agencies, and non-profit organizations.Served over 450 economically disadvantaged students receiving educational support services by expanding partner community organization’s programs’ and/or services. Administered the network’s social media and web page.Developed marketing materials and conducted outreach in order to increase the network’s visibility.Developed relationships with local, state, and federal governmental officials, educating them on the value of after-school programming.Organized professional development opportunities including 10 seminars that served over 150 community members..
