Martijn Schmidt has worked at i3D.net since 2011, and is currently responsible for network design and management in his position as Network Architect. Among other things, he has worked to achieve network presence for i3D.net on every continent of the world, and helped to expand i3D.net's peering backbone from Europe across the Atlantic Ocean to reach several datacenters in the United States. More recently, Martijn has co-authored RFC8195 which outlines a few common categories of RFC8092 BGP Large Communities for use in production networks, based on his earlier experience designing and deploying a fully featured RFC1997 BGP Community system across i3D.net's global routing infrastructure.
