I'm a PhD Candidate in statistics working on high-dimensional neural data sets, using machine learning to extract low-dimensional variables that explain the prominent behaviours in large-scale brain recordings. My interests lies with AI and machine learning, and how we can use these tools when it comes to making sense of big data sets. I'm a firm believer of the importance of early exploratory data analysis when it comes to asking the right questions in the early stages of a project, and I cherish any opportunity I can get when it comes to extracting valuable information from seemingly hard-to-grasp data. I reside in the intersection between researcher and data scientist, which allows me to sate both my natural curiosity for learning new concepts, as well as my passion for structuring, analysing and visualising data. Often a good figure can tell the story of a data set better than a 1000 words!
