Enterprise Ontology Model DesignThe ontology design was based on an existing database model. The database was analysed and information extracted to populate entity and relationships according to the ontology design using Rapidminer 5 and Microsoft SQL 2008 R2.The ontology model term definitions conform to ISO the standard for Information and documentation and guidelines for ontology creation as described by the software supplier documentation.Enterprise Ontology ImplementationThe Ontology Design was created in Visio. The Ontology model was implemented using Smart Logic Semaphore Ontology Manager. The domain concept entity/relationship diagram was updated after initial model performance assessment.Enterprise Ontology Model Test Development CycleThe Ontology Development cycle consisted of extending the number of unit tests and analysing the test results. A number of Visual Basic scripts were written to automate the test cycle and to improve test analysis.
