At Tecan Labwerx we build customised laboratory automation solutions that are tailored to our customers needs. In my role as Associate Product Manager Labwerx I am responsible for shaping our technology platform as well as fostering collaborations with industry partners to offer innovative new products. In addition to my involvement at Labwerx, I am part of the product team around LabNavigator. LabNavigator is a software as a service platform helping labs to digitize SOPs, orchestrate the daily work in the lab, and deploying these procedures to other labs.

As an associate scientist product support I assisted our field based staff in implementing custom liquid handling applications for our customers. I was also responsible for training and certifying customers and employees on operating and programming Tecan’s liquid handling products. In addition, I adopted the role of a product manager for a cloud-based service digitalization project.

As a PhD student, I studied the interaction of viral RNA sequences called internal ribosome entry sequences (IRESs) and the ribosome, their target in the host cell. Using biophysical methods and single particle cryo-electron microscopy, I could demonstrate how the IRES from Kashmir bee virus binds to the ribosome.

At the Max-Planck Institute for Medical Research, I studied a chaperone system that stabilises disordered proteins and helps resolve potentially pathological protein aggregates. I developed methods to produce improved client proteins that are processed by chaperones and studied their refolding performing steady state and transient kinetic experiments.
