Praga-Moto, a motorcycle division of well known Czech vehicle and gearbox producer- Founding member of the newly established division within Praga company formed by former Jawa designers under leadership of Ing. Jaroslav Šůs as the Chief Engineer of the programmeDesign and development of off-road racing motorcycles (incl. 'on-road' variants)- 4-stroke MX and Enduro bikes Praga CD resp. ED in capacity 400-650 cc- 2-stroke Praga ED 250 in off-road and derived on-road variantsDesigner and development engineer responsible for chassis system (framework, suspension, steering, brakes, wheels) across all developing motorcycles- Design strategy- Concept, definitive and detail design of components, subsystems and systems- Design analysis - classical strength & stiffness calculations, kinematic simulations, etc.- Design for manufacturing - discussions with procurement engineers- Negotiation with suppliers and co-operating procurement subjectsAchievements:- The bike I had been designing took part in a World Championship race series-- Praga ED 610 ridden by Martin Lind (SWE) finished on final 7th place at Enduro WCh 2000 taking podium places at some particular event days- 9 months only from the project start from total scratch to finalizing the exhibition bikes-- Praga CD 610, ED 400 and ED 250 bikes (fully representative but not yet functional due to some engine internals missing) shown at Autotec '97 in Brno in June 1997- 12 months to the first run of all 3 prototype bikes - CD 610, ED 400, ED 250- Praga 4-stroke bikes took part in ISDE (International Six Days Enduro) event in 2002- Approval of Praga ED 250 Road Enduro bike for road traffic usage- Establishment of small scale production of ED 250 RE achieving ~250 units in totalAnd finally- Praga ED 610 that took part at ISDE has been acquired by Czech National Technical Museum and as a showpiece it is currently on display being a group member of bikes that were writing the national motorbike history
